Aunt Shey!

Everyone is tickled to have another Grandson! That very next morning we had family come and give all there love to my second baby boy!

Dee and Pops

Griffin came in sporting his new BIG BROTHER hat! Dee and Pops surprised us with that! I love it! He wore it proudly! He wasn't too sure about Gray but he then took the big brother part that afternoon. His heart is so big! When Gray cried so did he. He didn't want anyone hurting his little brother!

Good Friday/ Hospital Time!

We had the best nurse on the night shift! Her name was Jennifer! She was the greatest! I think I would of found a way to add her name to Gray if we would of had a girl! That's how great she was!She even called to check on us just yesterday! How sweet right? Thank God for people like her!

Me saying Hey to my little fella!

Look at those cheeks they are already squeezable!

First Family Pic

Amy B was in the waiting room and hung out with us before Gray arrived! I am so blessed to have her in my life! Gray missed her birthday by one day!

Dee was there waiting to find out if Gray was a boy or girl? Her first sight of Gray of course brought tears! We love you so much!

What is that?

My Dearest Griffin,

I am so excited about your siblings arrival but the last couple of days I have just been so emotional! You will always be my baby and I know that as soon as I bring Gray home you will look a thousand times bigger!

You are going to be the best big brother and I can't wait to see you interact with him or her! You have made some amazing accomplishments this week! I now can ask you What is that? and you will try and say what ever it is! Your speech therapist says that is a huge milestone!

Just yesterday you had a yellow circle in your hand and I asked you what it was and you said "Ircle" and then I asked you what color it was and you said "Lalow". You now try and say so much. You will even go get your snack out of the cabinet, bring it to me and automatically say "Ank ew". It truly melts my heart!

So much to update!

I first want to wish JohnVan's grandmom Verna a Happy Birthday! She is 100 years old today! We are so happy and she is a Huge part of our lives!

Yesterday Gray and I had another checkup. I am now 2cm and thining. Yay! Some change. He wants to have another ultrasound next week to determine the size. This is a little scary for me. I think that he thinks the baby is big and wants to make sure we are prepared. I should know more then. It is so hard to have these ultrasounds and not want to know the gender! I have gone this far so I just need to close my eyes and bare it!

Today is my last day at work so the upcoming weeks will be full of time and love for my wonderful husband and loving little fella! I am really excited for that!

As far as Griffin he is amazing his father and I every day. He will try and say anything you ask of him. His most accurate new words are goat, cow, boat. We are trying to say the alphabet and he is really good at the letters O, A, and R but will try and say them all! Last week we met with his speech therapist and we have been working on what the sounds the letters make. We finally got him to say "ba" for B. And now he is saying BA BA FOR Baby. He trys so hard every day and we are so thrilled!

God is so good to us and we will sit and be still! Thanks for all your prayers for Griffin and Gray! There is nothing comparable to a good group of believers that John Van and I can lean on!

Taking it a Step Further

Today at Church we had a very simple sermon. But it is one that touched my heart. It was about Jesus and when he visited Martha and Mary's house. He got there and Martha was being the great host cleaning up, making food putting on the coffee. To make sure everything was absolutely perfect! Sound familiar?

Then there was Mary who was in awe of her savior and just sat at his feet. Just sitting there kneeling waiting to be fed with his wisdom, and presence.

It is amazing how we can go through life as Martha majority of the time! We rush to get everything so perfect! We have to be that Perfect Mom! The one that has all of her ducks in a row. The perfect clean house, yard, best recipes, the child that is signed up for every possible event to make sure he or she isn't missing out.

Tonight as I am up, it occurred to me that Yes in this world you have to be a Martha to survive your day. But at the end of the day we all need to be Marys! We need to not only lay at his feet but actually take it a step further and crawl into our loving fathers lap and let go of all of our daily struggles! Cry to him as he holds us and strokes our hair. That is what he is here for!

Tonight as I was awake I crawled into his lap and cried out all my worries! It was and is an amazing moment! I sometimes wish that I could be Mary all day long but I have to get out there and be a Martha just to get the day finished. What ever you may be struggling with take it to him. Place it in his loving arms and leave it there.

What an amazing Father we have!

MaMa!

Yesterday Griffin yelled MaMa when I walked in the door! He has never said it when he has seen me! (Don't get me wrong he is always super excited when I come home but he usually dances for me and squeals with excitement.) I always have to ask him to say it! I just melted my heart! Little man is just changing everyday! He is more rambunctious and is trying to say words everyday! We are so proud of you little guy!

First Public Tantrum!

Okay, so Griffin had his very first outbreak yesterday. It was totally my fault!
I scheduled his hearing evaluation during his nap time. Yes, I know I'm crazy right?

Well, We had already canceled one due to ear infections and the another one she had to cancel because her child was sick. So I was determined to complete it this week. So, we went yesterday at 1pm and he had a melt down in the lobby waiting to get called back and another one on the way out! Just imagine a 9 month pregnant mother and a 2 year old screaming to the top of his lungs? I hope this gives some of you a laugh!

I was totally exhausted and embarrassed! I just know everyone was thinking -(and your having another child? Why? You can't control the one you have now!)

Needless to say I couldn't be mad at the poor little fella. It was during his nap time. After all, I learned a valuable lesson. No matter what DON'T schedule anything during a nap time. It always can wait a couple more days.

On a good note. Dee got him to say Doctor and Please! Of course that was before the appointment! Ha!

Today's Check Up!

Okay!

We went for a check up today and I am 1.5 cm dialated!! Yippee! I know I could stay at this for a while but I am just glad for some change! Gray will be here soon enough and we can't wait to meet him or her! I think Gray will be here before April but that is just a gut feeling! The doctor said the head is down and that this is a bigger baby than Griffin! We shall see! Love to you all!

Griffin's New Words

We have been working with Griffin this week and he has learned so many words!
Egg, Nose, Two, Up, Down and Tonight he said Cookie!

We are so excited! They are not the most precise, but I am thrilled!
I love that he is trying so hard and before we no it he will be talking in Sentences!

Gray and I had a check up this past Monday! I had Braxton Hicks all weekend and now they have gone away. I really thought we were going to have a baby Saturday. The check up went good and the Heart Beat was 162! This little person is trying to trick mommy and daddy already!

As for me I am actually experiencing a true pregnancy! I am slower and slower everyday. I have had swelling in my ankles, and fingers. I have trouble putting on my shoes and turning in the bed. I have even stopped driving Jv's car due to it getting so hard to get out of! Jv and others have laughed and I have too! It's quite comical! I still love being pregnant but I am ready to have this little one and to see what the gender is! Can't wait!

Bedding

The bedding is in! I am so excited with both! My good friends Crissy and Amy have offered to paint one of the walls. If it is a girl it will be pink and if a boy teal. I am so excited! I also have another friend Charissa willing to wash the bedding and put it up while I am having little Gray! I love my girlfriends!

We want to know what you think??

Okay! I think this child is going to come early so let's get your vote.
