Even The Ugly Pumpkin Needs to Be Loved

It is amazing to see God revealed in your children! Two weeks ago, we all packed up and went to the pumpkin patch to let Griffin pick out his very own pumpkin. We do it every year but it's usually a mommy event. This year we took Daddy and Dee Dee. We had the best time!

Griffin got out of the tractor/hay ride to the pumpkin patch and we told him "Pick out your Pumpkin". He went straight toward the pumpkins and what did he pick? The Pumkin below. Yes, Out of all the the very beautiful, round, smooth shiney pumpkins Griffin chose this one. I saw it out the corner of my eye and thought what an ugly pumpkin. It looked like it had worts all over it! And to top it off it leaned to the side. That was the Pumpkin that Griffin went straight for.

I have to admit that I even tried to get him to pick out another one. Why? I guess because society has placed this horrible idea in my head that pumpkins are suppose to be round and perfectly shaped. Says Who? Right?
.
Griffin chose the pumpkin that he saw as perfect. One that was not like the rest! I loved it and it warmed my heart so much that I wish I would of found one just like it for me! Afterall, Ugly Pumpkins need to be loved too!

Mr. Mom

I am little behind on my posts. Last week my husband took off two full days to stay at home with the boys while my in-laws were out of town. This is what the first day consisted of.. My child's very first Twinkie! I am not sure who he really bought the twinkies for.Himself or Griffin?? That will be something I will never know the answer to. I will have to say that My husband enjoyed watching his son eat this insanely horrible Debbie cake. He does look like he enjoyed every bit! I enjoyed seeing the pictures too!

Potty What?

Ok. So we are finally trying to potty train Griffin. I have always heard that boys were harder than girls. This was our first official day. We tried last week and then went back to diapers due to having to be on the go.

I am reading a book from a friend that says if they have an accident you are to walk back and forth 10 times to the room they had to accident to the potty. While walking you tell them that they are not suppose to pp in their pants to pp in the potty. And you are to pull down their pants and put them on the potty each time. So my child thinks that it is a game and thinks it's the most hilarious thing on earth.
He had the cutest laugh ever and I couldn't help but smile. I know I need to put on my armour but it's so hard!

So my child is having too much fun with the whole potty time. He is reading and playing on the potty. It is so darn cute! He has yet to go on the big potty only on the little one. I want him to be use to both.

Foster's Fighters

This past weekend My sister and I took the boys and headed to North Carolina for the Autism Speaks Walk. It was so much fun! I was thrilled to see so many people involved!

All three boys in the back!

I eventually had to change Griffin. All I had in the car were pj's. So Griffin wore Pj's home. Which was fine for him.
It the little things that make them so happy. Foster and Griffin LOVING the puddles!

We just missed the rain. Sheron and I were very thankful for that. Of Course that didn't stop them from missing it! They were soaked the whole walk!

This was the best seeing them have a blast!

We put them in the wagon and off we went!

There were signs that stated facts about Autism. They were like sharp knives jolting into my back each time I read one.

We got a walker and his mom to take a picture. Her son wanted to be in the picture as well. He was too cute!

We had a blast! All three boys were perfect! We will definitely go next year! Go Foster's Fighters
