Kisses for Elmo

Yesterday, I was on the floor reading to you one of your new books you got for Christmas. It's about kisses. At the very end of the book it says "Kiss Elmo". You had no hesitation. You leaned in with your mouth wide open and gave Elmo a kiss! I was SO Amazed! You are the sweetest thing! I love you so much!

Dancing Banana Boy

Just last night I was cleaning out Griffin's closet, putting up his 9mo. summer clothes and had him in there with me. He got this book called Blue Moo from his Dee and Pops. It came with a CD. So I put it in the player. I had Griffin by the hands as I sat Indian style. He pulled himself up and started dancing to the beat of the song. Out of the blue his legs just went to dancing! It was the cutest thing ever!

The even funnier thing about it was the song. It was about his favorite. (Banana's)
Then it even got better. We played it over and over (as most parents would do). There was this one part of the song that he got so tickled over. Every time that part would come up he would giggle. He thought it was so funny! He is our Dancing Banana Boy!

Thanks Santa!

Santa brought Griffin so much! This first picture is a picture of him on Rustee in the movie Cars. Griffin loves to rock so it was perfect for Santa to bring! You can then later on take the rocker off and he can ride it with the wheels!

He also got a super saucer he can grow into. Maybe it will even help him to walk!

Daddy and Griffin!

Santa stuffed his stocking full of hats. Boy did he know that his mommy loves to accessorize! After all he is the hat boy!

Dee and Pops found a Pea Coat along with the hat to match! They of course got him a whole lot more! He also got some work boots to match daddy. Some ugh boots, some high tops from Pops and another pair of dress shoes for church! And then several toys! Thanks Dee and Pops!

Chirstmas Eve Traditions

Every year my family comes to our town to celebrate Christmas Eve. We start off at our wonderful Church for the early Christmas Eve service. We then, head over to Jv''s family to eat and fellowship. We start off with the reading of the birth of Christ and then proceed to eat a delicious meal prepared fully by Dee alone! Thanks Dee for opening your home to all of us!

My wonderful loving family!

Griffin got so much! He got money from his Nana for his college fund along with two books(his favorite). He got a awesome teddy bear from his Uncle Chad. A puzzle clock and soft building blocks from Papa Chick. A soft truck along with a Gymboree Gift card from Uncle Jodi and Aunt Shey. Thaks so much for loving my son! Lots of Kisses and Hugs from Griffin!

We then ended the night with a must! "Twas the Night Before Christmas"

Griffin loved it! Your daddy will keep this tradition for a long long time!

Photo Hunt

This was Griffin's first Christmas so we were camera happy! I had so much fun taking pictures to send out for our Christmas Cards. I know the boy is going to kill me for putting him in a bucket when he grows up! As you can see I went a little over board. But you only have these sweet moments once!

Griffin & Griffin

The weekend before Christmas we traveled to see a friend from my home town! We had to get the two boys together! It was fun seeing them play and interact. And yes she named her son Griffin also. It's a family name for her and I.
We had a great time and her nieces were there too. The oldest made this man made hat and decided to put it on there heads. She was so sweet with the boys. Griffin had goldfish for the first time! They were extra cheesy! YUM YUM!

Her Griffin was as sweet as pie! He was crawling and getting around Great! I wish he could of taught my Griffin. Everyone says not to worry they are all different. I just want him to reach all those milestones! First time mom thing I guess.

I couldn't believe I got all three of them to look! It makes it a little easier when two of them have the same name!

Small Group Christmas Drop-In

Last night we went to our small group drop-in. However, it was not a drop-in for us. We got there at 6:30 and left at 9:00! Here is a nice Christmas family shot. Thanks Rhett for taking this!

Griffin loved seeing another baby. I think she also enjoyed him as well!

Griffin is scared of Dee and Pops train. However, he loved this one! I thought maybe we would buy this one to go around the tree for next year. I was wrong. I later was talking to Rhett's mom and found out it is a German train set. Just one part of the train costs 1200 dollars! Sorry Griffin. If I win the lottery one day I promise to buy it for you!

My memory on my camera was full so I didn't get a whole bunch of pictures. We had such a good time visiting! Griffin got to jump in a door way swing and fell asleep in it. He had everyone laughing. Especially when he would jump in his sleep. We love you so much son!

Christmas Breakfast in our PJ's

What could be more fun then sitting in your Pj's and visiting with amazing friends?
Griffin and I got invited to DeAnn's for a Christmas breakfast. He has made a new friend for life. As you see below Weatherly being so inviting towards Griffin. He is always the youngest but she always makes him fit in! Thanks Weatherly!

Jayce on the "Hehaw" as Weatherly would say! I love Jayce's sweet innocent look in this Picture!

Jackson feeling much better. He was sick last time we saw him! What a handsome little fella!

All four together. We all had such a great time and all the mommies were sharing there little ones tantrum stories. I have so much to look forward too! Thanks for the heads up and advice that I might need a reminder about in a months to come.

Thanks DeAnn for opening your home. Thanks to Tara for the yummy french toast and grits!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

After having a scrumptious breakfast we headed back home for some down time. Then off to get Griffin's second part of his Flu shot. He did amazingly well! He didn't cry but for a second. I guess he was use to more than one shot due to all those vaccines. Daddy wanted a shot of you in this outfit before we left. It's one of his favorites.

When then left to join the Edwards family for a special afternoon! Griffin made his first Gingerbread house. He gobbled down a teddy graham before I could even blink my eyes. He loves to eat!

Carlisle and Abby working on there house too!

The final look of the house. By the end he took all three bears of the roof of the house:)

Look at all the houses! Everyone did such a great job!

We then headed upstairs to the Princess Playhouse. Princesses and Princes everywhere. Dancing and playing so well together. Awaiting the arrival of......

Santa! He read a story to all the boys and girls along with listening to what everyone wanted from his workshop in the North Pole!

We then all gathered in the Kitchen for the most important part! Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus! Evelyn enjoying the sweet sweet tunes of the touching tear filled song.

Carlisle after munching on the big cookie cake for Jesus!

Thanks Biran and Jennie for such a great time! We enjoyed meeting such wonderful mommies and daddies! They were all so welcoming! A Big Thanks from Grifffin to Carlisle and Evelyn for letting him play with there toys and especially for letting him make the gingerbread house! He really loved the teddy grahams!
