Griffin's First Greek Festival!

Tonight we decided to visit the local Greek Festival! We had such a great time. Griffin loved the music and especially the color disco ball that reflected on the tent above us. He is not use to wearing shoes so he took one off and decided to chew on it all night.

Happy 7mo!

My Dearest Griffin,

You are 7 months old today! You are changing every day. I enjoy spending every minute of the day with you! Your daddy can't say enough about you as well. We are some of the luckiest parents to have you as a son. There are some days I don't think I can kiss you enough.

You have just started saying dada, which melts your daddy's heart.
You now stick out your tongue and blow. Which is real funny while eating your baby food. It goes every where!
You get so excite to see daddy and I. Your face lights up.
You sit up on your own so well We can actually walk off and leave you sitting up now.
You love to hear yourself. You talk all the time. Then you also have your studying moments where you are so quiet and serious. This makes us laugh so hard!
You still sleep really well you will take 2-3 naps a day lasting usually 1.5-2hours.
You get so excited when you see your bottle. You move your arms up and down and grunt! It is so cute.

I thank God every day for giving me what my heart desired! He promises that if we ask then we will receive and I am so glad I asked!

The Little Things in Life

Sunday morning was great we all slept in until 7am and fed Griffin his morning bottle in bed and then I took this great picture of him squealing about the Gamecocks 3rd victory! Look how big his mouth is open!
As most of you know, I love coffee! So every morning John Van would wake up for his morning jog on the beach and Griffin I would sneak off to the upstairs front porch connected to our room. Here we could be as loud as we wanted and not disturb anyone. It actually was my favorite family time. I would put Griffin in his carrier and feed him his cereal and fruit and enjoy the my own personal coffee pot full of fresh brewed hazelnut coffee while listening to the rain drops fall. Daddy would then join us soaking wet and sandy. Griffin just sat and relaxed studying the rain drops almost as if he appreciated this quiet time as much as I did. He's truly amazing!

Sunday breakfast was one of the top moments of the trip as well! It Felt like I was staying at a B&B! Fresh pineapple, one of my favorites!

Vanilla yogurt with blueberries, raspberries, granola, topped with bananas with a dab of peanut butter on each slice!

And ham and cheese biscuits. Thank you Kim and Brice It was superb!

A big thanks to Rachel, Misty, Doran, Brice, Kim, Crissy , Brian, Noah, AmyB and Johnathan for making our first family vacation so sweet and wonderful! We will make it an annual trip! We love you guys! See you this Wednesday!

Another great day

Saturday morning was terrific. We had a down pour, or a gully wash as my husband would say. So, we hung around the house played some more board games. We also had a very yummy breakfast Omelets and french toast prepared by Kim and Brice.
Noah loved Griffins Super Saucer. (Yes we packed this.) I think we packed it more for us than Griffin
Misty holding Griffin as he drifts off for his morning nap!
Off to the beach again!

Kim, Rachel and Misty Sun bathing!

Another family pic!

Griffin's first Word!

Griffin said his first word! We were all standing in the kitchen waiting for the rest of the bible study gang to arrive. I was making my avocado dip. John Van was upstairs and Griffin was in his Super Saucer and Griffin, out of no wear, said DaDa! I ran upstairs in excitement and told John Van. Then I ran downstairs picked him up and kissed him all over telling him how proud I was of him.
Everyone else thought I was crazy and thought I was hearing things. Then he said it again ,as to prove to them his mommy wasn't crazy after all. That time John Van got to hear it too. He looked at Griffin and said that's me! It was too cute!

My Baby is a Beach Bumb!

Friday morning we decided to head to the beach. So, Noah and Griffin played on the floor while their parents loaded the golf cart! This picture is so cute! They are holding hands. I thought I would get an even closer picture of the hand holding. It is so sweet!!

I love this hat!

I also love his bathing suit bottoms. Everyone called them speedos but they look like a baby. He can wear those swim shorts the rest of his life. There only little for a short time:(

Griffin taking it all in.

Still not awake totally.

The boys played under the tent for a long time.

Noah with a big Hello Smile

Then we gladly put the boys in the ocean! Noah enjoyed the taste of the sand.

Griffin loved it also!

Splashing away!

As most of you know I have huge feet! I went and got a pedicure just for the beach. A girl has to have pretty toes to play in the sand with. I was very pleased and happy to say they looked nice digging in the sand!

After so much fun Griffin was exhausted! He took a 2hr nap!

I decided to join him. We stayed out for a total of 5 hours! I can officially say my little guy is a BEACH BUMB!
