Jack Pot

I was reading about the Biblical meaning of number nine. Number nine stood for the end, coming to a halt, and finality. For us the number nine means the exact opposite. It means a new beginning, a new oneness.

Today as we celebrated nine years of marriage. We had a small picnic in a local Park. After getting our bellies nice and full we laid on our back looked up at the nice, clear, blue sky and one of the words that came out of my husbands mouth was "Jack Pot". He said "Did you ever think when we first got married, living in that small duplex down town, that we would ever have thought that our lives would be this good? That I would have the flexible job. You having the perfect part time job, having the cars we have, the house we have and the two beautiful boys we have? We really hit the Jack Pot!"

I have to say there is still a smile on my face right now. I am so thankful of what we do have. We may not have it all! Then again, maybe we do? My husband gave me a new meaning to the word Jack Pot today and he gave me the best anniversary gift a girl could ever ask for. A content heart! A wife that knows her husband couldn't ask for anything more! What a great feeling my heart has.

I have to say it was me who hit the Jack Pot. For some reason God Blessed me with this wonderful man. It was me who hit the Jack Pot. It was I.

For I know the plans I have for your," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Gray's First Birthday!

Dear Gray
Today you turned one years old! I can't believe that I had you one year ago today.
You are a ball full of energy and keep the family going. But you also have a laid back personality just at the right times. You are very talented and are so fun to be around. You eat everything in sight. You have added 2 new words to your vocabulary. Out and Elmo. We love you little one and can't believe you are one! You had a great day full of love and really fun times to remember!

You didn't know what to think when we sang Happy Birthday. You were so cute but very confused.

More cake...

And More Cake......

After the cake we had to put you straight in the tub to get you clean. We then headed outside. What a beautiful day it was! The icing on your cheeks broke your face out for a little while. I think it was the food coloring.

You love to walk but are not on your own just yet. Here you are pushing the wagon all across the big back yard!

Tammy getting to hold you. I love how your telling everyone how old you are! Too funny!

Your brother wanting to play ball with you then quickly heads off for AmyB.

Your brother loves to play 1-2-3 Catch!

You are going to be into all sports! You love a ball and would chose that over anything.

Your brother and cousin both wanted in on the new toy action!

The card you are holding was a card from your Papa Chick. It had Elmo on the front and you decided to say "ELMO" for everyone! We loved it!

Your brother and Foster decided that their favorite toy was the huge box. They played pee pie and then giggle till they couldn't giggle anymore!

The chair that you and your brother are sitting in is your very own chair given by your mommy's best friend AmyB. She bought one for your brother Griffin for his first birthday too!

I tried to get your picture sitting up like a big boy but you had other plans! You thought it would be fun to roll a summersalt out of the chair! You are a clown little one!

Your other big gift was given by your Dee and Pops! Your very own riding toy! A Mickey Mouse airplane. You love playing with it!

Opening up your gifts. Aunt Shey stepped in to help.
