A Full Day!

Today was a full day!! It started off with your mommy working till 12:30. We then went straight to get your first hair cut! Then mommy had hers. She then got something to eat, then off to vote!
I decided since I would be working I would be a great citizen and vote early! I waited for 2 hours and 15mins! Wow! I am going to wear my sticker the rest of the week and all of next week!
I then left there came and picked you up at Dee and Pops and we headed out to a fall festival held at your Dee and Pops church! Mommy is a tired mommy!!




You didn't much care for your hair cut especially with no nap but mommy wanted it done so that we could have good Christmas pictures that are coming up soon!



I eventually got your mind off of her for just enough time to get it done! You did pretty well considering no nap!







You finally took a small afternoon nap and were ready to explore the fall festival!
We got some good snuggles.



A bite to eat! Hot dogs, chips and cookies!


We then headed out side for the Hay Ride~!





You seemed to like the hay after all this will be your third hay ride this month! Your mommy can't help it she loves the fall! You dug your little shoes in the hay as if to see if they would disappear?


We had such a great time! Thanks Dee and Pops for inviting us we will have to do this every year!

Romancing in Newbern!

We are not able to get away for a weekend too often and so we jumped on the chance to be able to escape! My mom offered to keep Griffin Friday and most of Saturday and Dee and Pops kept him Sat and Sun for us!
John Van wanted to take a weekend for just the two of us before the baby came and yes we have a little while but this turned out to be the perfect weekend!

For those of you that don't know John Van and I are both Huge Nicholas Sparks fans. He is a sappy love author of many books. The Notebook, his very first book, was the very first gift I ever recieved from JohnVan and from then on we have been hooked!





The down town was amazing! It was full of history and beauty!
I absolutely adore my husband's commical side!



We had such great Quality time together which we will never forget!










I think there will be many more visit's to North Carolina!
Thank you sweetie for such a fun filled romantic Weekend! You are the best!

Griffin had a great time. We started off with washable finger paints, moved on to craft paint and then finally finished with paint pins. He didn't like me putting his hand in the paint. I really think it was the fact that I was in control not him?







We had a great time and Dee and Pops came over to help!

The Perfect Crowd to Search for a Pumpkin!

Last Saturday 7 of us mom's got together and decided to take our fun loving children to pick out the perfect Pumpkin! We had a ball!

We took 2 hay rides one around the Farm riding on hay with Horses leading the way!

Griffin loved the bumpy ride! This time we got on a bigger hay ride to find the pumpkin! This one was lead by a tractor!

I told Griffin to pick out a pumpkin and that is exactly what he did. He went straight to this pumpkin and pointed to it!

Now we have to get mommy and daddy's pumpkin!

We then ended the day with some ice cream! Banana pudding Ice cream!
Griffin did so well! We never got in a nap that day but it was well worth it!

We got a small pumpkin inside for Gray and we are going to decorate all 4 pumpkins today! I will post the outcome later! This will be the first attempt with paint and Griffin! So much Fun!

Happy 20mo!

My Dearest Griffin,


You are 20 months today! You have done some amazing things this month!

* You are saying Dee Dee,cracker(occasionally), when we ask what the Duck says you say in return Quack,Quack!

* You are now climbing on things! Your Dee found you climbing on the couch to look at your photo albums!

* You now pull everything out of the cabinets! I never encouraged this and so it took you a while and here you are! Daddy says he is going to buy you boxes of cereal for Christmas. You will go into the pantry grab the boxes so you can stack them in a row!

*You have really gotten into puzzles lately and have done so well with them!

*You raise both your hands in the air when we say touchdown!

*You communicate in your own way. When you want to know what something is you say "ADAH?" If you want someone to read to you, you grab the book go up to them and say "DidDid". Where you got this from I don't know? It sure is cute though!


* Last but not least?? You have found both of your nostrils! Yes I think you are searching for a cookie or maybe you just want to see if your finger disappears for good?-HaHa!

You are so sweet to everyone! There is just something to say about unconditional love! You have got my heart!

Dear Griffin,

Last night we came to pick you up from your Dee and Pops after Mommy and Daddy's date night and I told Dee that you now point to my belly when I ask you where the baby is.
So, your Dee thought she would try it! She asked you "Griffin where is the baby?"
You stoped what you were doing walked right over to her and touched her belly!
We laughed so hard at you! You always find a way to put a smile on everyones face!

Fireproof!

Okay so I don't really blog to much about what is in the world today but this is a MUST!
Everyone who reads this post MUST go see the movie Fireproof! It is amazing! I wanted to go out and buy everyone I know a ticket! It is by far the best movie I have seen in a long time! Oh and take your significant other even if you have to bribe them you will thank me I promise!
John Van and I ,for the past 6 weeks, have been taking a class at Church on Wed nights called 10 great dates! It is a book that has been amazing and has helped our marriage get so strong! We joined the class mainly because some of our dear friends were teaching it. That being said it has been amazing JohnVan and I realized how much we had been focusing on a budget and child we had forgotten about us!
We have been on a date every WEEK for the past 7 weeks and have had some great Quality time! This was of course our date last night!

Happy Hour w/ Great Grandma P!

Your Great Grandma is too fraile to get out of her foom to come and eat dinner with us so she wanted us to come and join her for happy hour in her room! You had the best time you brought your lap top played music for us and danced with Maddy! You and her were the highlight of the night!

We all gathered around and I must say it was the best time! Your great grandma was one of the happiest I had ever seen her!
