Second Annual Small Group Pool Social

So, We ate hamburgers, broccli salad, Cantelope, Watermelon, and Chips and headed out to the pool. The kids eyes were filled with joy and then.....came the thunder and lightening:( They got to enjoy the pool for maybe 30 minutes. If that. We still had a great time and will have to do it again before the summmer is over!

The one thing I have to say is I love our play room. We are so blessed to have such a big area for every child to have fun! They had a blast even with out the pool!
Here are a few pictures that my hubby took:)

Pool, Pool, Pool

We have had plenty of family fun days in the pool this summer! I haven't had time to sit and post each time, so here are random days in the pool! Oh, how thankful we all are to have this pool!

Visiting

Visiting.... This is one of my favorite words. I never used it until I met my husband. He used it quite frequently. Those of you that know my husband are nodding your heads right now. He loves to visit with friends, family and even strangers. Where ever he goes he visits. (The head nodding continues:)) This was one of the very first things that attracted me to my husband. His continued huge heart that loved and still loves to be around people. He LOVES to Sit and VISIT.

So this weekend we did just that. We took at trip with our very loved boat. And headed out to again Visit with some good friends. Scott in the picture below has to be one of Jv'S best friends. I think they talk more on the phone than some of me and my girl friends. Which is another thing I love about my husband. He always keeps in touch with his friends. Very Loyal he is..

I have to say this is my favorite place to come when it comes to being on the water. It is full of energy and the atmosphere is fantastic! Who needs to spend money to swim with the dolphins when you can do it for free? We had a great time catching up and to top it all off we got to celebrate their engagement! He popped the question two weeks ago! We are so excited for them!

What a great weekend on the water! Looking forward to it again and again!

Gray's First Hair Cut!

I can't believe that my baby boy is growing up. I have to say having his hair cut makes him look so much older! Wow! The guy that cuts his hair has cut Jv's hair since the early 90's. Now he cuts Griffin and Gray's and does a great job! Is very affordable too! $15 dollars for both boys!

Griffin's Night Time Prayer

Just a couple of weeks ago, I was sharing with some friends what Griffin says and does when it is time for bed. They told me I had to write it down in his baby book so that I wouldn't forget it. So true! Thank you sweet friends.

Here is how his bedtime prayer goes: (All on his own)

Dear God,
Thank you for Mommy, Daddy, Gray, Dee Dee, Pops, Nana, Papa Chick, Aunt Kee Kee,
Uncle Chad, Aunt Sheron, Uncle Jody, Uncle Brad, Uncle Lee, Uncle John, Nana Jan,and Papa John. (He never forgets one!)

Please Help Mommy and Daddy make good decisions.

Please help Gibson, Austin , Foster (And another dear little friend)Get better. (They all are on the autism spectrum)

Thank you for loving me in your name I pray AMEN. (During this part he places his hand on my head while I am knelt down next to his bed with him) My friends and I were so tickled at this part because it is almost as he is healing with his hands! Who knows maybe he will grow up to be a preacher! So sweet!

The Boys and Their Toys

This weekend we got to take the boys on the boat for the first time! It was one of my fondest memories! Griffin really loved going fast and squealed the whole time. He had one of the BIGGEST Smiles I have every seen. He was so adorable. We are taking at least one more trip with them before the summer is over.

We had some firsts. Griffin got to drive the boat. Gray had his first taste of a tuna fish sandwich. Dee Dee made it -she makes the best!

We even captured Gray's first thumbs up! So much great memories! Can't wait till we do it again!

This is the day before scoping out the boat getting them use to it.
Daddy putting on the life vests!

The real deal!

Thanks Dee and Pops for coming with us and the great snacks that you made:) Love you!
