Our little one is Back!

Griffin has had a fever since Tuesday. It has been a steady 102. We took him home last night bathed him in water and Alcohol and gave him more Motrin. Thanks be to God his fever broke last night! We finally have our baby boy back to normal! We called the Doc. yesterday and he said just to keep fluids in him and if his fever gets 103 or above to bring him in. That if we brought him in he would more than likely catch something even worse. It got close to 103 but never there. Thanks for the calls and check ups!
His daddy and I have been blessed to not of experienced this before now. We have had a really healthy boy. The Doctor's guess was that it was something viral and there is really nothing we can do but wait. One of human natures favorite thing to do;) We are so grateful to have that fun, amazing, playful little one back!

Nothing Like Old Friends

Tonight we had a very special visit from one of JV's high school, life long friend! We haven't seen him in quite some time now and had so much fun catching up. Jv and him even got out the old high school pics! Lets just say there was a whole lot of giggles along with good memories! Thanks Boog for taking the time to come and see us! We can't wait till we get together on the boat this summer and have the rest of your adorable family!

Back to Saying Momma!

You are back to saying the sweetest word in the world-"MOMMA"! I am so excited! You have learned so much in the last couple of days. You figured out two new toys on your saucer. You also can push the button on your four wheeler all by yourself!

One Year Old Check Up

Monday was Griffin's one year old check up. We got an A plus from the DOC.

Griffin weighed 21 lbs 13.5 oz and is 28.3 inches long! You are a big boy!

Here are some fun changes that your daddy and I love!

*You now are able to pull up on anything. You have been doing this for a while but you are more confindent and are able to pull up on everything!

* You now say DaDa, Mama, Bye Bye, and POP.

* You make this monkey sound when you want something or even just to talk.

*You still army crawl but you walk really well holding on to something. You love to walk around an object in circles.

* You still love books. Dee timed you just the other day and you sat with a book turning the pages for a whole 45minutes!

* You have shown us your temper this month. If we take anything away from you, you start to kick your legs and cry.

*You have tried so many foods. Tonight you tried eggs for the first time. You ate them but I could tell they weren't your favorite. You have also eaten, bannan pudding, cake, meatloaf, green beans, broccli, cornbread, and even wild rice. Your favorite is still pasta pickups and bananas.

*You are on whole milk and drink from a sippy cup. You can hold it but can't quite figure out to hold your arms up and head back. We are working on that.

* You still love to be outside and on the go.

*You still take 2 naps usually 1-1.5 hours long.

* You love to give kisses and bat your eyes.

* Just the other night in the tub you had your yellow duck and your green fish. I asked you where your fish was three different times and you picked it up with no hessitation! It was amazing!

You are growning so much your daddy and I are having so much fun! You are the best!

Happy Valentines!

I have to vent just for a second. I searched for a valentines outfit for Griffin and there is nothing for little boys! I guess they think something with hearts on it is too girly. Well, for his Valentines gift from us I bought hat. Yes, A hat. Can you believe that? I found this adorable red cowboy hat! I couldn't pass it up. How perfect for valentines day! I love it, and he seemed to love it. As you see in the pictures below he has learned to pull himself up and now stands in the crib thinking he is such a big boy now. Hope you all had a Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Birthday Dee!

Today was Dee's Birthday! We had a great time celebrating and had fun making her cake! We went took her and Pops out to eat and Griffin loved the atmosphere! He spotted another little one and couldn't stop smiling! We played peek-a-boo with the napkin over his head and he loved that as well! We love you Dee! Thanks for all you do!

Valentine Surprise!

Monday Nights are when we meet for our Bible Study. We have a social event every 6weeks. Last night we were invited over to the leaders,Jack and Beth. We were told in the early part of the week that we were to pray over 5 things we loved about our spouse. When we arrived at their house we were given a red gift back full with dinner and we were set off with blankets and flah lights to have some alone time with our spouse disscussing the 5 things we loved about each other! It was the most romantic alone time we have had in awhile. It was so thoughtful of Beth and Jack! John Van and I really had a wonderful conversation! Along with yummy chicken bog, sandwiches, and dessert! Thank you guys for letting this Valentines be so Special!
It is amazing how that 1 hour conversation was just what we needed!

Rachels Bachlorette Party

This past Saturday Night I was able to drive to the beach for an evening to spend with one of my good friends Rachel! She is getting marriend in just 3 weeks. I was sad not to be able to stay the night but I had a blast for the short visit I did have. As you can see we had a great time at dinner along with the three amazing singers on stage! We had several pregnant girls which made me miss my tummy so much!
I had a great time and can't wait till her big day! PS- Our team one the toliet paper bride game! YES!!!!!!
