While on the waiting list I thought I would take some time over the Christmas break and have a couple of therapy sessions at the house. With prayer and wonderful support from my loving, understanding friends. They dropped there children to help Griffin out. We are so blessed with the support here!
We started off by playing a game of Duck Duck Goose. The kids loved it.
Griffin didn't understand why he couldn't get up and run around the circle every time. Which I can't blame him that is the best part!
Gray decided to play a little baseball during the duck duck goose. My little Bam Bam.
We then headed in for the craft Rudolph Christmas Ornaments!
The final outcome to our rain deer ornaments.
Our snack? Yummy cupcakes! One of the few sweets Griffin can have.
Gray enjoyed the cupcake too!
Abby was really excited to climb the tree as well. They did so well taking turns.
Jayce had experience with climbing trees so he taught everyone else.
Gray enjoyed the social group as well. He was in the middle of it all trying to keep up with the big kids.
We played a game with the bean bags. Girls vs boys and the boys one by 2 points, 38 to 36. Josey scored the most points in one turn making the first 6 points for the girls team!
Josey was quite the little athlete.
It is amazing how you can forget what you thought was fun as a child until you are around other kids. Jayce wanted to climb a tree and it was so much fun for them. It was one of my FAVORITE things to do as a child.
At the end of the day Jamie read them a story while I made them some GFCF pizza. I love how Griffin is laying on her knee. They were so glued to the story. So sweet..
Griffin did great! He jumped right in every activity. If we could just get him to talk more with them. I know it will come. We have one more next week and I am so really looking forward to it.
