Waiting is not my favorite. I tend to get a little frazzled. But we are called to wait. Scripture not only calls us to wait but it also teaches us that it is a blessing.
Psalm 37:7 "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him." - Our Command. Proverbs 8:34 " Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my door, waiting at my doorway." -Our Blessing.
I am amazed at how impatient I really am. But over the last 10 months I am amazed at what God has shown me while I wait. It as if almost now I am excited to wait. To wait to see his Glory. To find his teachings, his love, his gifts. The gifts that seem so small to others but are like sky scrapers to me. Now, waiting is a welcomed time to me and my family. A time that I enjoy.
I have waited to see the growth of my nephew. Months go on and I get to see him and the ways he is improving. It is at that moment that God reveals to me what is in store for Griffin next. It is that little assurance from him that we are taking the right path as parents and putting our lives in the hands of our Father. It is that moment that the enemy is so distant, when just yesterday he was lurking so close. I love these moments. It reminds me of those silly cartoons when the good guy saves the day by getting rid of the bad guy.(I know silly)
But back to waiting.. Waiting produces faith. And "faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" Proverbs 11:1. I love this! My hope is that all these therapies, supplements and treatments would only help our son just as it has helped our nephew. But here is the tricky part. We are very hopeful but are we Certain? There are days where I struggle. Then I wait. It is during these seasons that I am revealed of his certainty time and time again.
I am hoping that when this season comes to an end because in all certainty (with a few bumps)it WILL. That JohnVan and I will be nothing more short of 2Corinthians3:18 "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is in the Spirit" This is why we wait:) Thank you for your timing is perfect!
