So the GIANT Yard Sale is over and there are so many emotions that I don't know where to begin. I guess that I could say that this weekend was a moment of reflection, a moment of realness, a moment of sovereignty, a moment of endless love.
I reflected upon seeing God's promises the ones that I constantly doubted. I looked back on how every prayer that we prayed for had been answer about Griffin. Not in my time but in his time.
The realness of it all was dusty, almost like a dream. It went by so fast and yet I prepared for months. The realness hit when my friends all gathered to help. When the yard sale customers added more money to their totals when my friends mentioned what the money was for.
His sovereignty was BOLD. His supreme power was in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. It was even at the beginning when I was gathering all the stuff. He provided so many items that we barely fit it into the garage! He provided the donations, the helpers and the buyers! He even prepared a rain free day to make it all possible.
There was a total of 16 families and 2 schools that donated! Now that is endless love. As Friday rolled around I was sitting out side alone. I stepped back and took a moment and tears welled up in my eyes as I saw that endless love for my child! Nothing can replace the love for someone else when they show you that kind of love for your child!
I sometimes wonder how people can doubt the power of prayer, the love of a church family and most of all doubt that there really is a God. I think many people struggle with it not being something that is tangible. At the end of the day we raised $2,058.00 of TANGIBLE LOVE, PRAYER and GOD! ....and yes I am still crying tears of joy.
Thanks Guys...your love will never be forgotten.
