Mary's Love

This past Wed. Night we had a very special visit! We had Mary over to see us. For those of you that don't know her. She is a huge part of our lives. She and her husband Don use to lead us in our Bible Study before they moved away. Our visit was priceless and as always we ended it with a little more spiritual wisdom and growth!
She is definitely one of our Angels! We have grown so much just by meeting her and her husband. I guess you could call them our second set of parents! Thanks Mary for being a huge part OF our lives and for the sweet unforgetable visit!

This is so cute! This is a picture of Kim and my little one blowing bubbles. It got really entertaining Griffin would stick out his bottom while he did it. (Leave it up to my little one already figuring out whrere that sound comes form LOL!) We laughed so hard! I have a video and will share later on! It made tears fall down my face!

A Father's Stolen Heart

Just this past Saturday you came out of no where and decided to really recognize your daddy. Don't get me wrong you have always loved spending time with daddy, you watch his every move! But you have finally realized that the word dada went with him. Every time he comes around you look straight at him and say DADA really vivid and strong. You officially know that he is your DADA! You have followed this routine every day this week. I hope it continues because you have truly stolen his heart and that make me such a proud mommy! I love you so much words can't describe!

One Year Invitations

We decided that for Griffin's first Birthday that we would have a really small birthday. With my family it will still be big but we decided to invite 4 friends and rest family. I wanted to be small as possible so that he wouldn't be too overwhelmed. That is the plan anyway, we shall see?

These are the invites. I couldn't find anything I liked so I decided to make them. I think they turned out pretty good. We decided to not go with a theme due to him not really old enough to say what he likes so I went with the original blue and green colors!

Party Blues

Saturday Morning we were invited to Carisle's second birthday! However, we had a sick daddy and a runny nose baby:( I deliverd her girly gift, which I had so much fun shopping for, and she gave me Griffin's goody bag. This was what was inside!

Isn't this the most cutiest and clever idea? She made this cape her self and Griffin will probably never want to take it off when he gets older.

Thank you Carisle for inviting me and I promise to come by and see you real soon!
Love Griffin

Happy 11 mo!

My Dearest Griffin,

You are 11months old today! I have exactly one month left to plan your very first party! These last 11months have been priceless! You have changed so much in every way.

* You now cry for a second when I leave the room. It doesn't last long just this little whimper as if you were saying "Why can't I come with you?"

* You have officially gone 4 days with out a bottle! Your daddy and I are so proud of you. I really thought this would be our #1 challenge!

* You are really into the pasta pick up by Gerber graduates. You have tried every kind and love them all. You still love Bananas. You like string cheese, crackers, peaches, pears, peas and carrots, spaghetti, mashed potatoes. The only thing that you have turned away from are apples, sweet potatoes, and sometimes green beans.

* You still love books. I can put several toys in front of you and you go straight for the books.

* You love to pick up the balls and put them into the Giraffe toy. You also like to give kisses to the Giraffe. You even aim for his mouth!

* You love to lay on your daddy's chest while he rubs your belly and watch sports together! Your dad actually had this time with you tonight! He loves his time with you!

* You get were you want to go, even if it's not on all fours.

*You love to wave bye bye, play patty cake, Indian call and say dada. You squeal with excitement.

* You now sit up in the tub verses laying on your back.

* I love how you look at the book while I read to you. You look at the sentences as if you are following along. You are my little professor! I hope you take after your dad's grandmother and love to read!

Wow look at all that you have achieved! You are the most amazing creature!

I am so excited to watch you grow but I want to put you in a bottle so that I wont ever forget all these special times! I love you! Mommy

So I am obsessed with hats!

Okay! I now know I have a serious problem with this obsession! I can't help it! I guess I can find adorable hats instead of outfits! Anyway, This nook was given to you by your Pops! He knows how much I love to put hats on you. You have begun to take them off but not all the time! I hope you will let me enjoy these adorable times a little longer!

Contagious Happiness

My favorite part of the Holiday season is all the cards. Especially the photo's! I love to see such happy faces! I also love to see the Children grow! It is truly amazing how much JV and I are blessed! We are surrounded by such wonderful fellowship! I am so sad to take them down. We usually leave them up for longer but we are hoping to show our house more in the upcoming months and they say to DE-personalize it as much as possible:( Thanks all for giving us a little of your happiness!

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun!

Saturday we got up and headed to the Beach to visit our friends Ty, Amanda and Austin! Austin is about 3 weeks younger than Griffin. We had a Ball! I just wish we could of stayed longer! Amanda and I both agreed that we needed to get the boys together more often so we already planned our next play date! Aren't they so sweet! I love Austin's big brown eyes!

Saving Kisses for Himself!

You are so sweet! I know I post that all the time but I guess I am a little partial to you! Tonight, after changing your diaper, I turned you around and stood you up facing your mirror. ( I usually do this every time since you love to look at yourself.) Tonight you looked at yourself and gave yourself a kiss! Daddy came in and took some good pictures of you doing this. You are so loving! I hope and pray you will continue to give these kisses away freely!

Why we all long to be Mothers......

Last night was the sweetest time with you. You and I were laying on the couch with you propped up on my chest. You were playing with my necklace, as you always do, and you paused at least 10 times to look up at me with your sweet little gaze and open your mouth wide open to give me that sweet slobbery kiss voluntarily! You are such a loving baby! You and your father make all the difference! You have my heart.

Mopping the Floor

Just last night you finally have become half way mobile! You stretch your arms out on the hardwood floors, palms down, and pull your body forward. Pops and Dee call it moping the floors!
You have played in your Rustee car all day today and learned how to rock until you get to your destination. You may not get on all fours but you get were you want to go!
