Happy 10 Months

My Dearest Griffin,

You are ten months today! I will be planning your first birthday within the next two months! I am taken back everyday just by watching you. Everywhere we go people always rant and rave about how good of a baby you are! We are so blessed to be able to take you everywhere we go! You love being in the spot light!

Here are some new things you are doing:

You are now eating table foods. Your favorite is still bananas! You will pick up your own food and put it in your mouth! It makes a sticky mess but I love to see you get dirty!

You now do this really cute thing with your eyes. When I lay you on my chest you will look up at me with this big smile and squeeze your eyes closed twice really fast. Like your sending me butterfly kisses. It is so sweet!

When daddy asks for kisses you make this sound like huh? It's almost turned into a little game between the two of you. It is so funny! It makes your daddy laugh so much and he ends his laugh with this " I love you so much son and I am going to steel a kiss anyway." You sometimes will give him one at the end.
When your mommy asks you usually come at full force with your mouth wide open!

Your favorite thing to do now is to wave bye bye! If anything remotely sounds like bye bye you stretch your hand really tall and wave bye bye. It is always with your left hand.

You are now getting your six tooth in tooth n which is on the bottom. This was suppose to be your first or second tooth.

You now reach for people when you see them and you want them to hold you! Just last night you pushed away from the lady that was holding you to reach for me. Which melted my heart!

Your three words are dada, momma and bye bye sometimes you will even say DAD.It so precise!

You start to roll your tongue when you say dada. I think we will have to teach you Spanish.

You know play with your bumper in your crib. You will pull it down to look out. Just to see who is coming to get you when you wake up.

You have really started to copy everyone. You have done this for a long time but you are getting really good at it! We will put our lips together and do a smacking sound and you will return it.

You now help mommy dress you. I will put your arms in the sleeve and say "Where's Griffin's arm?" And you will help push it through. This helps out a whole bunch!

All in all you are growing and we are enjoying this month so much! Your daddy and I love you very much! Butterfly kisses back to you!

All My Love, Mommy

Christmas for the Kids and More Kids!!!

We had so much fun! This year was by far the best having Griffin join in with all the kids! He might be the youngest but he definitely showed off for everyone! He squealed all night and loved Weatherly. She is the sweetest girl! She would go and play and she always made sure to come back and check on the baby. She would give him toys to play with and she gave away lots of hugs. She also knew all of her body parts. She pointed at Griffin's, ears, toes, eyes, mouth and hands! We will have to get you two together more often!

Peyton was terrific he pulled everyone in the wagon. He is such a great helper. He will pick up anything for you. I saw several people asking him to throw away there plates and to help pick up toys so people wouldn't trip and with out a whimper he did what he was told. JV also asked if he would be Griffin's best friend so that he could watch over him as they grow! As you can see he is already taking care of them! He is the Leader of the Pack!

This what you get when you turn on the wiggles! Every head turned! It was AMAZING! No wonder why day cares use this so often! I would too! They all loved them and Caleb was the cutest! He just stretched both arms straight up in the air and wiggled everything else! He was too cute! They all danced! Weatherly and Jayce slowed danced. They call it ring around the rosey. Weatherly will grab Jayce with a hug and Jayce will return it and they will dance in a circle! The most lovable thing I have ever seen!

We stoped to take a picture with Griffin's #1! The boy loves his DaDa!

Then the kids and parents got the gifts and passed them out. Peyton pulled Griffin's name and we got a work bench! Griffin will love it! He already loved the box and practically ate it!

And Weatherly came over to see if it was okay for Griffin and made Griffin feel so wonderful she got on the ground and copied him by putting her mouth on the box as well!

At Last

Yes, this is water behind us. Jv's dream has come true! He finally has a boat and it is more than we expected! Yesterday, I picked up an extra day at work while he kept little man. He then met me at work and we spent a romantic afternoon just the two of us on the water!

Jv can't wait till he can teach Griffin how to drive and fish! What better way to have family fun then on a boat? No TV just the waves and time!

My first time driving a boat! I wouldn't go faster than 20mph. The water was like glass and it felt a whole lot faster! Jv went really fast and scared me half to death!

We then headed back to Dee and Pops to see what he was getting into! He loves this Santa it reads the entire story of Twas the night before Christmas. Anything to do with a book the boy loves. Let's hope it continues!

We have had trouble with the sippy cups! My friend DeAnn told me to try a cup and this seems to work! For now anyway!

Ladies Man

Dee invited Griffin and I over for her Christmas get together for her neighborhood ladies. We ate a whole lot and enjoyed all the company! Griffin is definitely a social baby! He wants to be in the action! Pops took him to the study to hang out with him and he wasn't having it! So he took him out where all the ladies were and he loved it! He laughed and giggled the rest of the night. We gave him some of the treats, now that we are trying new things. Well, we get home and up comes everything I guess we learned our lesson on that one!

Primary Dentition!

We are so excited about Griffin's teeth! Are they not the cutest teeth you have ever seen? So I have a tooth fetish? LOL! I am just amazed that he is getting them all at once and all on the left side! There is one trying to come in on the right but hasn't erupted fully! I also can't believe that they are erupting out of normal sequence. The first picture is are the teeth on top and the second is the one on the bottom.

Prayer Vigil

Tonight at Church we had a Prayer Vigil. I had no clue what it was or what to expect but I signed your dad and I up for it. Basically, they said that it was a time for prayer and that if you put your name down in a 30min time slot that you were more than likely going to come. Well, your dad and I walked into the sanctuary and on a table before us was a sign in sheet and a handout describing an example on how to pray for a 30 min periods.

So, We picked up the sheet and walked down the isle. It was a very still and silent. The sign up sheet had times arranging from 6am till 9pm. We were the only ones in the sanctuary at the time. We both went to different sides of the church read our pamphlet prayed for longer than 30mins and came out different people anxious to start a more dedicated life with Christ in the center. And most of all Thankful for each other and you! It is amazing to see the power of prayer and how it can show you so much especially all that you take for granted!

The hand out is one that I will keep for ever! It was truly helpful and amazing!
I wanted to list several helpful events for you so that you can experience this one day as well.

"A half hour prayer? How could I pray for that long? I'd run out of things to say!"

Have you ever sat down to talk to a friend and enjoyed yourselves so much that the time seems to fly by. When you think of spending time in prayer think of spending time with the most intresting, loving , warm person that you know. Your conversation begins and before you know it your time is spent.

But if talking to God for that long seems intimidating, it's probably because we're still learning just to share ourselves with Him as we would with a friend.

First you have to clear you mind and ask him to help you to focus totally on him and the time you are going to spend in prayer.

Confess! Spend time telling him what is on your heart and whats been weighing on you recently. Don't bring up old ones just ones that have been with you lately.

Adoration sing to him!

Pray about Difficulties. Your struggles! Finances, Co-workers etc.

Pray for loved ones close friends, Don't just list there names tell him all the juicy details! God wants specifics just like your friend!

Lastly pray for your Church, Nation and other Nations

Other suggestions:

Be yourself! Talk with God like you would talk with your best friend!

Get comfortable. The stiffer you feel, the more formal your relationship will be. Sitting is fine. If kneeling helps, do it. Take a walk as you talk with your friend!

Pray out loud, though not loud enough to disturb others. Being able to hear yourself pray really helps. You'll find that your mind doesn't wander as easily and that you can pray more fervently.

Don't fell like you have to do all the talking. Discuss something with God, then be silent for a time. Sometimes God uses these times of listening to implant His answers in our minds. Gradually you'll find that prayer can be a conversation!!

What great advice!!! I pray every day that you will know Jesus and that your daddy and I can keep this house full of His love and Guidance!

Forgot my Camera!

This weekend sure was busy Saturday night Jv and myself got invited to a 5 star restaurant not too far from here. We met three amazing couples new to town. We had a divine night enjoying a 6 course meal that even the presentation was to die for! We all decided to get baby sitters and enjoy some adult time. I have to say this was one of my favorite dinner parites! We had the wives at one end of the table and the husbands at the other! Jv and I were surrounded by mouth watering food, the most romantic atmosphere, and the best of all the most wonderful fellowship!Thank you Jennie for putting this incredible experience together!

Then Sunday, was beyond full, I woke up an attended Church while Jv and Griffin stayed home due to his runny nose from his teeth. Then Little man and I headed out of town to two showers. One for one of my friends Paige. It was a Christmas Wedding shower where most of her gifts were Christmas themed. She looked amazing and it was so good to see everyone. Griffin loved the puppy Sophie at Ashley's house. She gave him lots of kisses and he returned his love with giggles of excitement!!

Then we headed off too my second shower which was a baby shower. My good friend Rebecca who is Due in February and looks amazing. Pregnancy has been so nice to her! She was the girl that was with me the day before I had Griffin and was my shopping partner while I was having my contractions! I love you Rebecca and can't wait to meet Baby Bryce!

Then back into town for one last party. Which I decided that Griffin had two successful parties I wasn't going to chance the third. Although, he loves to go and do like his mommy but I think he was happy to see his daddy and play with his own toys. Below is the alum that attended the Christmas Party with the Chapter. We had a great time and We each brought a toy for tots. This is will be an annual event and I know the kids will enjoy all the toys. I wanted several to take home for myself!
