I Never Want to Wash My Face Again!

This morning I went to kiss Griffin on the lips goodbye and he reached up both of his arms and gently placed both hands on each of my cheeks almost as if to take a pause and say " I love you mom". It was priceless. I told everyone at work and I truly never want to wash that sweet little touch away!

Vacation in Town?

John Van's parents were out of town so we decided to stay at there place to enjoy the awesome weather we had! No humidity, that was a rarity! We really felt like it was a vacation. We spent the entire weekend together just the three of us. I have to say it was one of my favorite weekends ever! We didn't even need to pack the whole house due to the fact the Grandparents had everything for little man!
We love there porch we had coffee every morning and enjoyed the sunrise!

Happy 5 months!!

My Dearest Griffin,

• You are 5 month old today! I can't believe how fast you have grown and how much you have changed.

• You now wake up from every nap cooing and talking. Your dad mention just the other day how he loves waking up to the sweet sounds that you make.

• You have a hard time going to sleep at night. You go down for naps easily but at night time you want to cuddle for a little while. Which is fine with mommy!

• We still swaddle you at night. I guess we will break that habit when you no longer fit in one.

• You laugh all the time you love it when we make sounds with our lips.

• You are very ticklish. Especially on your back, sides and under your neck. I think you get that form your mommy

• You still cross your ankles all the time ,which is so cute.

• You still only take a pacifier every now and then. You also suck your thumb sometimes.

• You only eat cereal at night and you get 30oz of breast milk a day.

• You now have two favorite books. Mr Seahorse by Eric Carle and Mimi's toes by baby Einstein.

• Your eyes change with what you wear and your hair has a strawberry blond tint to it.

• Everyone says you look like me . Except when they see your daddy's baby pics.

• You are the sweetest gift We could of ever received! Me and your daddy are the luckiest parents in the world!! We love you! Happy 5 months!

Foster and Griffin's first Sleepover

Dear Griffin, This was your first Sleep Over! Your Aunt Shey and cousin Foster came to visit you and decided to stay the night! You and Foster had such a good time. Claudia Love

This morning we woke up and had some yummy peach cobbler and coffee with Hope and Claudia. Griffin had so much fun and loved to be around her! Mommy and Hope got to have some great mommy talk too. Griffin also got to go home with Claudia's bumbo seat, float and a really neat toy. THANKS Claudia for letting us borrow them! We will be back soon. Thanks for all the kisses you blew to us they sure made us both feel loved!!

Dear Griffin, I love my nights with you! When you get really sleepy you love to lay on my chest. You will bury your head into my chest and move your head side to side. It is one of the times I just can't get enough of! You truly are the sweetest gift in the world!

Mommy Note

Wanted to make a quick mommy note. You are 4.5 mo. old and you just had your shots. You have just started this new thing of only taking three 45min naps?? Normally you take three 2-1/2 hour naps. I think you are going through a growth spurt. You are now back to your naps! It only last a week and a half. Just wanted to remember this for your sibling to compare the two of you.Love mommy
